This is a united organization of Kerr Economic Development Corporation (KerrEDC), City of Kerrville, Kerr County, Kerrville Public Utility Board (KPUB), Kerrville Area Chamber of Commerce, Kerrville Convention & Visitors Bureau (KCVB), and the West Kerr Chamber of Commerce.
During this time, it is imperative to rely on official sources of information and participate in organized, structured relief efforts.

Disaster Assistance Available
- SBA Disaster Assistance Loans:
Many local businesses and nonprofits may qualify for federal disaster loans.
Check eligibility and apply here. - Comfort Area Foundation Relief Grants:
Collecting donations to distribute direct grants to small businesses, nonprofit organizations, and affected families. - Salvation Army Flood Relief Distribution:
Supported by the Comfort Chamber, Comfort Area Foundation, and community volunteers at Comfort Park.
Distribution includes: Tools, baby items, hygiene items, water, and more.
Open: Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm (or until needs are met), starting July 7. - West Kerr Chamber Coordination:

FREE assistance for homeowners in your area that were affected by the recent disaster. Volunteers may assist with:- Removal of personal property & furniture

- Texas Workforce Commission:
Disaster Unemployment Assistance (DUA) is available for affected workers and self-employed individuals in Kerr County.
How to Apply: Visit damage.tdem.texas.gov or call 800-939-6631 (8am–6pm, Mon–Fri).
Deadline: Apply by Sept. 4, 2025.
DUA serves individuals who:- Have exhausted or don’t qualify for standard unemployment benefits
- Lost work or cannot access their workplace due to disaster
- Were injured or became primary support due to a death in the household
- Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country:
Kerr County Flood Relief Fund established to support local response and recovery efforts.

Emergency Pharmacy Support
- Happy Hooves Pharmacy:
Offering a free 4-day supply of essential medications (excluding controlled substances) until your regular pharmacy can process an emergency replacement.
What you need: Proof of your current prescription (printout, email, receipt, or labeled bottle).
